Frequently asked questions
What do you need to know before hitting the fairways?
Buying
We recommend deciding by three criteria in this order:
- Folded size – the smaller it is, the better the trolley fits into the boot of your car and into your cellar or garage at home.
- Weight – a lighter trolley is easier to load and unload.
- Look – titanium, stainless steel or a classic design to suit your taste.
The lightest and most compact is the TITAN (5.8 kg), the PREMIUM S / M / L range is made of stainless steel and the SMART is the most affordable model. You can compare all models on the Trolley comparison page.
An electric trolley is not about comfort. Golf is a physically demanding game and the trolley saves your strength so that you can swing just as well from the first hole to the last and put all your energy into the game. Stiff backs from pulling a bag are a thing of the past.
You will appreciate it most when playing regularly, on hilly courses and on the back nine. If you only play occasionally on a flat course, the ELEGANT push trolley is enough.
You can rent the SMART model at three golf courses: Albatross Golf Resort (Vysoký Újezd), OAKS Prague (Nebřenice) and Panorama Golf Resort (Kácov). The trolley must be booked in advance directly with the resort. You will find the details on the Demo trolleys page.
Yes. Thanks to the so-called travel system, the TITAN and PREMIUM models are very compact. They can be folded in two ways:
- into three parts plus two rear wheels: 66–69 × 31–35 × 16–19 cm (into a travel case or bag),
- into a flat triangle with the front axle folded down: 67 × 68 × 14 cm.
The SMART model folds in 5 seconds to 59 × 81 × 32 cm. The trolleys weigh from 5.8 kg (TITAN) to 9.8 kg (PREMIUM L), plus 1.2 kg for the battery.
Yes. The box contains the trolley with wheels, a lithium battery with holder, a charger and a user manual. A travel bag and holders (umbrella, scorecard) are optional accessories.
Yes, Davies Caddy is a Czech brand with more than 15 years on the market. The trolleys use components from Germany (planetary gearbox, BMZ battery), Japan (control unit), France and the Czech Republic. They are assembled in the Czech Republic.
Yes. If you buy as a consumer, you can return the trolley within 14 days of receipt without giving a reason. What is more, we will collect the trolley from you free of charge. This does not apply to purchases made as a business.
Use and battery
Davies Caddy electric trolleys with a 9 Ah battery manage 36 holes and more on one charge, the SMART model 27 holes and more. The actual range depends on how hilly the course is and on the weight of your bag.
Yes. The TITAN and PREMIUM S models have a freewheel, so you can simply push them by hand once the battery is flat. On the PREMIUM M, PREMIUM L and SMART models, just pull the rear wheels out slightly. They then spin freely and you push the trolley without resistance.
The battery is more than enough for a full round (36 holes and more, SMART 27 and more) if you charge it fully before playing.
Yes. The electronics of Davies Caddy trolleys are rated IP44, which means they are protected against water splashing from any direction. Neither rain nor wet grass will harm them. However, do not clean the trolley with a pressure washer; wipe it after the round and only charge the battery when it is dry.
Yes. Davies Caddy electric trolleys feature DHC (Downhill Control), which automatically brakes the trolley when going downhill. The brake efficiency is 100% on the TITAN and PREMIUM S models and 70% on the others.
Davies Caddy trolleys use lithium batteries from the German brand BMZ, which can handle up to 1,500 charging cycles. However, battery life depends above all on proper storage. Always charge the battery fully and ideally store it at room temperature. Avoid frost.
Before winter, charge the battery fully and store it in a warm, dry place, ideally at room temperature. Do not leave it in frost, for example in an unheated garage or in the car.
Charging takes 3–5 hours depending on how flat the battery is. Only use the original charger supplied with the trolley.
Davies Caddy trolleys do not have a remote control, and that is on purpose. Remote-controlled trolleys turn with a so-called tank movement and stop abruptly, which strains and damages the gearboxes. That is why we do not use this feature.
The trolley can, however, run ahead on its own for 10, 20 and 30 metres (SMART 10 and 20 metres) and has cruise control.
The maximum load of the trolley is 25 kg. Never exceed this weight. The trolley carries both cart bags and stand bags. We recommend a bag whose bottom and top are designed for mounting on the given type of Davies Caddy trolley.
After the round, wipe the trolley with a damp cloth and clear grass and mud from the wheels and axles. Do not use a pressure washer. Regularly check that the screws are tight and lubricate moving parts with a suitable oil that repels water and does not attract dust. You will find replacement wheels, tyres and grips in the Spare parts category.
Warranty and service
No. Every Davies Caddy trolley automatically comes with the CADDY CLAIM service. It is the standard warranty, which already includes a pick-up service: if your trolley breaks down, a courier comes to you with a box and takes the trolley away. You pack nothing, send nothing and worry about nothing. After the repair we bring the trolley back to you.
You can also order the same service as CADDY CARE. For trolleys bought on daviescaddy.cz or aaagolf.eu from 1 August 2025 it is free for 2 years, otherwise it costs CZK 650. You will find the details on the CADDY CARE page.
Davies Caddy trolleys come with a standard 24-month warranty. It automatically includes the CADDY CLAIM service: if the trolley breaks down, a courier comes to collect it with a box and we bring it back to you after the repair. You can also order the pick-up service as CADDY CARE.

Yes. You will find wheels, tyres, grips and batteries in the Spare parts category of our e-shop, and chargers and cables in the Accessories category.
The quality of Davies Caddy trolleys is put to the test every day by rental fleets at golf courses. The trolleys are used there daily by different players and still show excellent reliability and durability.
All trolleys have a pivoting front axle that works much like the suspension fork on a mountain bike: impacts from uneven ground are not transferred to the whole frame. Reliability is further ensured by BMZ batteries and a planetary gearbox from Germany, and by service in the Czech Republic with CADDY CLAIM pick-up.
